Lola Bezemer

Visual artist Lola Bezemer (she/her) lives and works in the Netherlands and is fascinated by how people’s actions are influenced by their surroundings. In her works she tackles how we relate to spaces, objects and each other and proposes shifts in power balances, often giving the audience a role. Sometimes they build a sculpture together or they are wrapped by textiles; the audience is always part of the work. Her ideas are expressed through meditative and playful performances, spatial installations and participatory projects in which the exploration and transformation of tactile materials such as textiles and ceramics take center stage.
